Wendy Erskine is my former English teacher (the coolest teacher you would ever hope to have) I’ve just told her about your glowing review ❤️

I am very lucky to have a fabulous woman close to where I live who has made my wardrobe a pleasure to wear. I had a gorgeous green silk DVF dress which I bought for my mother’s funeral, but unfortunately it had faded in my ridiculous open wardrobe setup. My tailor dyed it for me, took in my granny’s liberty print poplin shirts so they fit me, and adjusted some other lovely clothes which weren’t quite right. I felt such joy being able to wear clothes which really held meaning for me.

Obsessed with Hacks and can’t wait for series 3. Discovered Takis on holiday in Spain and you are bang on with the spice index - stops me from scoffing the entire bag. Takis are currently in the middle aisle of Aldi.

I love the Seam! A wonderful woman I found through it in Newcastle has restored a couple of bags for me flawlessly and she even rescued my much loved Celine ‘Big Bag’ from an epic smoothie explosion which I thought it would never recover from 😃

I LOVE the Big Bag. My friend Tanya had it and I always admire it. I’m always looking out for a secondhand one at a fantastic price, but exactly the right colour/size/condition/price combo has come up yet. It’s an enjoyable hunt. Great bag.

I hunted for a burgundy one for ages and found it on eBay at a bargain price - it was a being sold by a reasonably well known fashion photographer selling stuff that had been left behind from photoshoots 😮 I use it all the time and it’s so beaten up - l love it!

Inspired by the first pic, I’d love your thoughts at some point on trench coats. Every year I think I should invest in one and then for some reason I hesitate (maybe because it feels like it should be an ‘investment piece’?) then the season for wearing one passes and don’t buy one.

Good seamstress or alternations service is so hard to find. I found one but she is in another country 😂 My granny was seamstress and taught me many things. I hand hem trousers sometimes. Recently I bought gorgeous maxi linen blend skirt with way too long too high waist. Well, I had shortened it, cut off top a bit and moved zipper in a new place. I did it by hand. Home made couture skirt 🤣

Great you mentioned H&M premium. I quite often find very good quality clothes in this range. The same goes about tees you mentioned, have them in the same two colours and l love them.

Takis Fuego my choice of salty spicy treat 😊 Luckily my local supermarket stocks them.

This is exactly the kind of content I knew you’d deliver Sali and I love it. I’ve just pre-ordered Rabbits, I’d been meaning to for a while so thanks for the reminder. I’ll also be trying Wendy Erskine as her books sound right up my street too. And I had no idea a 3rd season of Hacks was on its way which is excellent news!

I’m lucky enough to have 2 alteration shops within a 10 minute walk for me. I’ve only ever used one, but both come highly recommended. Sadly most of my clothes need letting out at the moment, but it’s worth a fresh look to see what I have and what can be re-worked. Thanks Sali x

When I woke up this morning I had no idea that today would be the day I became a toe ring wearer. But it’s happened and I love it! (So now, obviously, I’m online looking for more because if one is good, nine is better.)

I am plus sized with big feet and huge head. As much as I love fashion I very often struggle with finding clothes in my size. But maybe providence has smiled upon me because I never ever have to have anything hemmed. If I find my size even with sneakers (often men’s because I can’t find my size in women’s styles) my pants are never too long. Sometimes sleeves are too short, or my bottom is one size and my top is another. But the length of my pants is perfect. 😜

Huge head solidarity here! Why are there NO cute hats to fit this tremendous melon?

I had never realised the third colour concept until you have said it here! The absolute truth and I did it just last week with a Reiss t shirt - white, grey, black. Black remains neatly folded.

Jealous of the house call sewing service. My mum does some for me but doesn’t live nearby.

I also discovered those silk blend T-shirts last year. Replaced the black ones as they both had those little holes at the front. Love them. Was going to buy the mole but they had sold then. They arrived yesterday. They took ages to arrive for some reason!

I was always a toe ring fan back in the day...I think I may have just been re-inspired to get one on the go again . Though I had better sort my grim looking feet out first 😱!
